Mrs. Babcock attended Loyola University of Chicago where she received a bachelor's degree in English with secondary teaching certification in 1994. After working at Shabbona for four years, staying home with her children for five years, and then returning to Shabbona for one more year, she found out that she was leaving her home town! Her family relocated to Germantown Hills after her husband, a Caterpillar employee, was transferred to the Peoria area. After teaching 8th grade at Washington Middle School for one year, Mrs. Babcock could not resist the opportunity to teach in such a great community as Germantown Hills.
Mrs. Babcock and her husband, Brandon, have three wonderful children who have all gone through both Germantown Hills and Metamora Township High School. Mrs. Babcock enjoys attending the extracurricular activities of her children and walking her dog. Of course, one of her favorite pastimes is reading! She loves traveling, visiting family, coffee, and Chinese food. She believes that teaching 8th grade is the perfect fit for her. She loves the age group and adores working with the funny, intelligent, kind, and interesting students of Germantown Hills.
